Dear colleagues and friends,

It is our pleasure to invite you to take part in the 3rd Serbian Congress of Nephrology which is to be held in Belgrade, 23 - 26 October, 2014 under the sponsorship of ERA-EDTA and The Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade.

The meeting will take place at Crowne Plaza Hotel (former Intercontinental), which is currently, with its renovated halls and meeting rooms, the most prestigious venue for scientific meetings in our country.

The Congress Scientific Board, comprised of the internationally renowned nephrologists from Serbia, intends to introduce a number of new improvements to this Congress and we hope that you will appreciate its increased quality when compared to previous two Serbian Congresses of Nephrology. The Congress will focus on topics that are of great interest to nephrologists: glomerular diseases, chronic and acute renal failure, genetics in nephrology, haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis and kidney transplantation. Furthermore, we would like to single out the sessions that will be dedicated to the Balkan endemic nephropathy and registers. Moreover, the congress will introduce a novelty - CONFRONTATIONS, during which nephrologists and their colleagues from diverse specialist areas will be discussing the most interesting patient case studies and for the first time we will be sharing our experiences with our colleagues from the region and discussing specific problems related to the treatment of kidney patients. It is important to mention that this year as well, pediatric nephrologists, along with adult nephrologists, are invited to take part in the congress with the topics related to kidney diseases in children. We look forward to hosting and seeing the presentations of more and more young doctors who are engaged in treating kidney patients throughout Serbia.

The congress is accredited by the Health Council of Serbia. We hope that the Congress concept and topics will attract a great number of nephrologists from all over Serbia and that they will take the opportunity to exchange knowledge and ideas, to meet colleagues and friends, make new contacts, and last but not least, enjoy their stay in Belgrade.

CONGRESS LANGUAGE:

The official language of the Congress is Serbian. The lectures by invited speakers from abroad are in English, simultaneous interpreting is not provided.

IMPORTANT DATES:

- 29 June, 2014. - Abstract submission
- 15 July, 2014. - Acceptance/Rejection notifications
- 20 September, 2014. - Lower registration fee

CME:

The Congress is accredited by the Health Council of Serbia. (accreditation no. A-1559/14). Scoring is done as follows:

- For presenters - 15 pts
- For oral presentation - 13 pts
- For poster presentation – 11 pts
- For passive participation - 9 pts

ABSTRACT PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS:

Before uploading your abstract, please follow strictly the guidelines below:

- Each abstract should be a Microsoft Word document;
- The title of the abstract should be brief and precise and should indicate the purpose of the work (large font);
- First name and family name (of the authors and co-authors), with the name of the author presenting the paper underlined;
- First name should precede family name;
- Institution, town, country;
- Presentation format:
1. Oral presentation 2. Poster presentation 3. Confrontation
- The abstract should be organized into four paragraphs:
1. Purpose 2. Methods 3. Results 4. Conclusions
- The case report should be organized into three paragraphs:
1. Introduction 2. Case report 3. Conclusion
- Font Arial, font size 10, line spacing single, no extra space between paragraphs;
- Word Limit: 250 words maximum (excluding the title, author’s name and affiliations);
- Tables, charts or photographs are not allowed the abstract;
- To submit your abstract fill in the on-line registration form at the bottom of the page or do it by email: olivera@congrexpo.co.rs

TECHNICAL EQUIPMENT:

Conference hall is equipped with all necessary technical requirements for computer presentations. Computer presentations should be prepared in the MS Power Point software and should be brought on CD, USB flash drive or a notebook computer.

ACCCOMMODATION:

A number of rooms have been blocked in the hotels listed below at special Congress rates. To reserve your accommodation, fill in the on-line form at the bottom of the page, after which the Technical organizer will send you the confirmation of the reservation as soon as possible. You will pay for the accommodation directly at the hotel reception on your check out.

REGISTRATION:

Congress registration procedure will be completed online. If you are not able to access the Internet, please contact the Technical organizer in order to get registration forms. Upon the registration you will receive an invoice in RSD (Serbian dinars) with payment details.
